| THE HUNTING & FISHING Deer: We are located in the heart of deer country in Unit 2F1 near Lake Washington Wildlife Management Area. A tremendous White Tail Deer population creates many opportunities for the deer hunting enthusiast. Please call for availability of non-resident deer tags. Waterfowl: Located in the prairie pothole region of North Dakota, waterfowl is abundant. Field hunting can be very rewarding as geese and ducks group up and feed in the morning and evenings. Upland Game: Since the start of the CRP Program, Sharptail Grouse numbers have increased dramatically. An early morning drive will reveal coveys along the road side drying off from the evening dew. In the heat of the day, walking CRP near grain fields will produce birds. Predator: The coyote population is huge! A lot of hunting can be done within walking distance of the Lodge. Fishing: We are located only 18 miles south of Devils Lake (Black Tiger Bay). This lake is well known throughout the tri-state area for large walleye ,pike, perch and white bass. |
